Woodward Regional Park

An excellent day trip for families, the Woodard Regional Park spans over 300 acres of natural beauty with modern amenities along the way. Fresno Chaffee Zoo

Another fun attraction for families with children, the Fresno Chaffee Zoo is home to 190 species of animals, including over 94 specialty species. Rhinos, warthogs, lions, tigers, and stingrays are among the many animals that call the zoo their home. Visitors can feed the stingray here. The zoo has several specialty animal exhibits as well, including the petting zoo and the African Adventure.

The “Dino Dig” is popular with young kids. This exhibit allows them to “excavate” fossils and learn more about prehistoric animals.

Island Waterpark

A summertime favorite for all ages, Island Waterpark is more than just another swimming pool or place to get wet; it is an experience. Head to the water park for wet and wild fun that keeps summer exciting. You’ll find an assortment of water slides, pools, and kids’ areas available. The wave pool and Tsunami Slide are two favorite attractions at Island Waterpark.

Old Town Clovis

Drive a stylish Dodge Charger to Old Town Clovis, about 15 minutes north of Fresno, and explore the unique restaurants, shops, antique and specialty stores, and shops lining the colorful streets. Every summer, the farmer’s market opens in Old Town Clovis, selling a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables and homemade goods. Guided walking tours are available once you arrive if you want to know more about the area, its history, and other facts.
